TOLUWASE OLAKU

BIOGRAPHY

Visual Artist | Storyteller | Founder, Infinite Treasures African Art

Toluwase Olaku is a Nigerian-born, Vancouver-based visual artist and storyteller whose work explores the quiet intersections between light, faith, memory, and identity. Through photography, he captures more than moments — he reveals spiritual tension, inner transitions, and the sacred beauty within the everyday.

His lens often lingers in shadow — not to dwell, but to discover. From urban stillness to sacred forests, his compositions speak to themes of pilgrimage, presence, and return. Whether through portraits bathed in moonlight or landscapes carved by solitude, Tolu’s images reflect a deeply contemplative worldview rooted in faith, cultural depth, and visual poetry.

He is the founder of Infinite Treasures African Art, where he also serves as curator and creative director. His own photographic works are featured in the gallery alongside emerging and established African artists, reflecting a commitment to truth-telling, spiritual beauty, and cultural preservation through art.

“Art is more than expression. It’s alignment. It’s how we remember what matters.”
