Opeyemi Olukotun was born in Ipetu Ijesha, Osun State in 1989. He graduated from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria with a Bachelor of Technology in Fine and Applied Arts in 2012. After graduation, he took up employment as a creative art teacher in a senior secondary school. In 2016, after teaching for two years, he resigned his appointment to pursue a full-time career in the visual arts.

Olukotun is fascinated with human anatomy and is passionate about drawing different aspects of it - movements, facial expressions, proportion... He uses harmonious colours and expressionistics techniques to portray the human form. he also enjoys using visible sketchy lines on his subjects to create a steady flow and connectivity around them.
