UNEARTHED
Life from the dust of the earth
Season I Archive
April 9–30, 2026
A curated virtual exhibition by Infinite Treasures African Art, now preserved through its collector catalogue.
Sixteen artists. Forty-eight works. One unfolding conversation.
Life from the dust of the earth
“YHWH Elohim formed the man out of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of lives. And the man became a living being.”
— Genesis 2:7
UNEARTHED reflects on life as the highest expression of creation. Formed from dust, yet animated by breath, humanity stands as a testimony to the craftsmanship of the Creator.
Through this exhibition, sixteen artists responded to the idea that meaning can emerge from what appears ordinary, buried, overlooked, or unfinished. Each work interprets this through its own visual language, revealing the uncommon from the common and the special from the mundane.
Curator’s Introduction
UNEARTHED was not arranged as a catalogue of individual works, but as a guided conversation across formation, resistance, memory, and continuity.
The exhibition brought together a cohort of sixteen artists whose practices reflect depth, discipline, and long-standing commitment to visual language. Their works were not presented as content, but as contributions to an unfolding narrative.
For many visitors, UNEARTHED became more than a viewing experience. It became an invitation to consider what it means to collect with intention, to preserve meaning, and to become a custodian of works that can live beyond one generation.
